HCMC - Novaland Group and the STF-Pham Phu Thu scholarship program, a social initiative of the Saigon Times Foundation (STF) under the Saigon Times Group, presented 260 scholarships to poor school children with excellent academic performance in Thanh Phu District of Ben Tre Province on August 29.

Novaland Group funded 200 of the scholarships and the remainder came from Quynh Nhu, Xuan Mai and Trang Tran.

Novaland Group also handed over water purifying machines to 52 schools in the district.

The STF-Pham Phu Thu scholarship program was initiated by Pham Phu Ngoc Trai, chairman of GIBC, Nguyen Thanh Sang, chairman of Phuoc Thinh-Palm Garden Resort, and Nguyen Su, former Party secretary of Hoi An City to help poor students pursue schooling.

Since it was founded in January 2017, the program has granted 732 scholarships and 21 computers worth VND2.5 billion to students across the country.
