On August 29th 2018, The Ho Chi Minh City Sponsoring Association for Poor Patient (SAPP) and Novaland Group handed over 347 water purifiers and 334 water tanks, totaling more than VND 3.8 billion to 52 schools in Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province; bringing drinkable water to approximately 20,000 students and teachers right before the new school year.
All new water purifiers meet international quality with Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Microfiltration Filter (MF), capacity of 6 liters per hour. This system will provide drinkable water with mineral supplement. The filtered water can be use directly without cooking. All purifiers are located in the convenient positions to help students easily to get water, including the high floor schools.
“Drinkable water for school” brings great joy to about 20,000 students and teachers in Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province
Dang Thuy Hang, student of Grade 8/1 Qui Dien Secondary School, Thanh Phu District, Ben Tre Province, said: "Previously, my school did not have clean water, we had to buy or bring water from home. The water is from rain or well. From now on, I will not have to bring water and not worry about dirty water anymore."

Thanh Phu district has 26 km of coastline. It is often affected by salinity intrusion. The district has only one water plant which can meet one third of the needs of about 150,000 people. According to Mr. Dao Cong Thuong - Chairman of People's Committee of Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province - "Drinkable water for school" have large funding with many qualified water filter and tanks. It helps to accommodate rain water in the dry season and provides drinkable water for all students in the school year. "The program is a meaningful symbol of generosity, which expresses the care of the whole society for the education in general, Ben Tre province in particular."- said Dao Cong Thuong.

Besides, STF-Pham Phu Thu scholarship program of Saigon Economic Times, Novaland Group sponsors 200 scholarships worth VND 200 million and 2,600 notebooks to poor school children with excellent academic performance.
The "Clean Water School" program launched by SAPP. It mission is to bring drinkable water to students and teachers at remoted schools of the provinces which are heavily influenced by climate change.
Currently, the program has handed over a total of 693 water purifiers and 334 water tanks, totaling more than VND 6 billion in Tan Tru district, Long An province and Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province, providing drinkable water to nearly 34,000 students and teachers in two locations. Next step, the program will extend to Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province.
