On August 10th, 2018, in the framework of "Can Tho City investment promotion conference", under the witness of the Prime Minister, government and local leaders; Can Tho City People's Committee and Novaland Group has signed memorandum of cooperation for new hospitality projects.
With the theme “Sharing potential for mutual development”, the conference attracted about 500 delegates, leaders of government and major cities throughout the country and Mekong Delta; as well as international organizations such as the World Bank (WB), Trade Promotion Organizations of Japan and Korea; focused on many areas including the development of cultural and sporting, infrastructure and tourism, real estate, etc.

"To promote 13 provinces in the Mekong Delta and Can Tho as a miracle destination, the corporation of all economic sectors to create many attractive and international standards destinations is essential. We have been negotiating and signing to bring the international management brand to Can Tho City such as Marriott, Wyndham, Novotel, Banyan Tree, etc. Novaland is collaborating with Consultants BCG and leaders of the Mekong Delta provinces to find suitable tourism models which is well suited to local availability; then upgrade to international standards but still protect the environment, preserve the river cultural identity" - Mr. Bui Xuan Huy - CEO of Novaland Group said.
In this investment commitment, Novaland Group together with Can Tho City People's Committee will jointly survey, study and collect information and data for the implementation of specific projects such as:
• Can Tho General Port (Passenger-Cargo-Tourism) at the old Hau Giang Ferry Terminal, 3.5ha in Cai Khe Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City.
• Son Islet tourist area, 74.4 ha in Binh Thuy Ward, Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City.
Leaders of Can Tho City People's Committee awarded commemorative medal for the active contribution of the Novaland Group and businesses to the development of the city.
Earlier in March, 2818, City People's Committee. Can Tho, Novaland Group, The Boston Consulting Group and Military Bank have also signed strategic cooperation - implementing the project "Developing the Mekong Delta’s tourism sector towards climate change adaptation".
