In 1990, the Law on Private Enterprises was published. Along with that, on 15 April 1992, the Constitution Law of Vietnam was approved by the National Assembly. This is the fundamental law to reform a collective economy to multi-sector market economy. Therefore, on 18 September 1992, Thanh Nhon Co., Ltd - the predecessor of NovaGroup, was one of the very first private enterprises established in the country.
Over the last 30 years of development, NovaGroup has faced and overcomenumerous difficulties; as the saying goes, "When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it" and “Success is determined not by what we have achieved but by the obstacles we have overcome”.
NovaGroup maintains unwavering commitment with its long-term vision and strategy that “The development of the Group is closely tied with the development of the country”. Since its early days, NovaGroup has cooperated with reputable partners to introduce new technologies for the veterinary medicine industry inVietnam, enabling the transition from an importing industry to an exporter.
Along with the rapid development of Vietnam, NovaGroup has gradually shifted from agricultural production to services and entered the industry of investment and development in urban real estate.
30 years of brightening lives
NovaGroup has now entered phase 3 of its sustainable strategic roadmap, building a diverse ecosystem that focuses on Services – Technology – Industry through 8 corporations: Novaland, Nova Service, Nova Consumer, Nova Tech, Nova Logistic, Nova Industry, Nova Finance, Nova Capital Partners. A strong ecosystem will help to provide products and services with international standards to the community, contributing to creating megacities associated with local development and new tourism destinations in line with the National Tourism Development Strategy.
Apart from more than 40 projects in Ho Chi Minh City, NovaGroup continues the development of the 1,000-hectare Aqua City smart ecological township (Bien Hoa, Dong Nai) and NovaWorld Ho Tram (Ba Ria-Vung Tau).
The 1,000-hectare NovaWorld Phan Thiet coastal mega city, tourism, and wellness project, with an estimated 5 billion USD investment.
Especially in Binh Thuan province, NovaGroup is developing a new international tourism destination with a total land area of 1,000 and total investment of nearly $5 billion namely Novaworld Phan Thiet, whereof the first phase of the project has been in operation. The project offer over 200 amenities including a theme park and a water park, a leading entertainment group from South Korean; a 10,000-seat arena; a 36-hole PGA golf course; an ATP tennis court with 3,500 seats; a marathon running track; campsites; outlet stores; nightlife entertainment system; a 16-hectare Bikini beach park; a wellness center, a cancer diagnosis and treatment hospital in partnership with Harvard Medical School; beauty salons, training schools for nursery and hospitality; a retirement centre; over 20 hotel resorts managed and operated by the most well-known international brands and many more.

The years of 2020-2021 were the time when the pandemic disrupted the whole world. The 29th anniversary of NovaGroup in 2021 was thus unforgettable able as our Novators worked days and nights during the peak of the pandemic, not on project development but on helping with the establishment of isolation zones, field hospitals, and intensive care centers for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. Dedicated and diligent Novators also conduct other key activities including vaccination center set-up and “Zero VND Supermarket” Campaign to provide food and necessities to those in need in isolation areas. No challenges could stop Novators from spreading compassion in the community.

Now, as the pandemic sees its end, the entire team of Novators continues to give all efforts into new projects and industries to create a diverse ecosystem and bring more and better values to the community.

Being a listed company in the VN30 basket with its convertible bonds listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange, Novaland is one of the most prestigious Vietnamese brands on the international capital market. Many of its financial partners are reputable banks and financial institutions, which enables the company to integrate into the international business community.
NovaGroup operates with due respect of the law and a sense of social responsibility through sustainable development. The Group’s effort is manifested in stable employment, proviosion of jobs and welfare in local communities, partipation in the country’s reformation of agricultural and consumer goods businesses via Nova Consumer, and enhanced services in commerce, healthcare and education via Nova Service, etc. And now the Group is entering a new industry of shipbuilding via Nova Industry.

Furthermore, Novaland is coordinating with An Giang and Dong Thap Provinces to plan and develop the Vinh Xuong (An Giang Province) and Thuong Phuoc (Dong Thap Province) border-gate economic zones, to create a border city called Mekong Smart City. The city is expected to become a regional tourism destination, a logistics center of the Mekong sub-region, and a processing center for agricultural and aquatic products, helping to remove bottlenecks in the Mekong Delta and reducing economic migration. It will be an economic hub for the 13 Mekong-subregion provinces, contributing to turning Vietnam into a developed country by 2045.
NovaGroup's contribution has been widely recognized by the both domestic and international organizations. In July 2022, Vietnam President Nguyen Xuan Phuc awarded a Second-class Labor Medal to No Va Land Investment Group Corporation. This is a tremendous honour and a motivation for the entire team to keep moving forward.
